We understand how difficult the past month has been both emotionally and financially and we are working to do our part to make the important decision of having surgery much easier and hopefully less complicated. In the spirit of that, we wanted to share some exciting news that our office will now be accepting insurance.
As our nation and the world respond to the outbreak of COVID-19, our hearts and prayers are with those affected by this pandemic. All of us here are working together to do our part by ensuring the safety of our patients, staff, and families. We would like to share our deepest thanks to each of you for your patience as we navigate these uncertain times together.
We have made some additional changes in our practice in response to recommendations by the Center of Disease Control (CDC). We have enhanced our cleaning and disinfection protocol, we have limited the number of staff and patients in our office at one time, and we have transitioned to telehealth visits, using the most current technology, for non-urgent matters. Despite these changes, it has been a blessing to maintain continuous communication with our patients through Zoom conferencing, Facebook, Instagram, and other communication platforms. Although we are practicing the recommended social distancing, it is important to remember that this does not mean social isolation. This is an invitation for us to discover new ways to connect with one another and support each other during this difficult time. Beginning May 1, 2020, we will be contracted with most health insurance plans. We hope that this will alleviate a portion of our patients' financial burden during this time and make needed surgery more accessible as we enter this new world. We are happy to answer any questions regarding your insurance plan or the ways in which we are increasing your safety during your surgical journey. We wish you and your family good health as we move forward and work together to make these life transitions a bit easier for each other.
"One truth that brings me comfort is just as this virus has no borders, its cure will have no borders. We are all in this together as a global community. For me, the best way I’ve found to get past this anxiety is to focus on what I can do each day to make a small difference. Each of us, wherever we are, has the opportunity to do the same – take an action driven by hope, a small step that makes things a bit better. And if everyone does something that makes the world a bit better, our collective work will in fact make the world a lot better, for the people we love, for our communities, for society." - Satya Nadella, CEO at Microsoft.
Thank you,
